Frothy Iced Coffee
1 cup milk
1/2 cup water
1 cup (6) ice cubes
3 tsp instant coffee
3 tsp brown sugar (or suite to taste)
1/2 cup water

1 container of frozen orange juice concentrate
Mix with 3 OJ containers of cold water
Add 2 L of cream soda just before serving

Orange Julius
6 ice cubes, crushed
1/2 can frozen orange juice
1 cup water
1 cup milk
1/2 - 2/3 cup sugar
Blend.

Iced Chai
6 tea bags
3 cups water
3 cups milk
2-5cm cinnamon sticks
6 cloves
6 cardamom pods
2 allspice berries
2-2cm peeled quarter-size pieces fresh ginger
Add spices to water, bring to boil and simmer 10 minutes. Remove from heat. Steep tea 10 minutes. Strain, add milk, sweeten to taste and refrigerate until cold. Enjoy over ice.

Blueberry Oatmeal Breakfast Smoothie
1/4 cup rolled oats
1 cup almond milk
1/2 cup blueberries (or mixed berries)
1 tsp ground flax seed
1 small banana
1/4 cup plain, vanilla or blueberry Greek yogurt
1 Tbsp honey (if using flavoured yogurt, omit honey)
Place the oats and milk in the blender and let soak for about 15-20 minutes. Add the remaining ingredients and blend until smooth.
Note: If you're using fresh berries that have not been frozen, add about 1/2 cup of crushed ice.

Mulled Apple Cider
1 apple
5-10 cloves
4 cups apple juice
1 cinnamon stick
1/2 tsp ginger
Stud apple with cloves and place in a saucepan with remaining ingredients over medium-low heat for 1/2 hour. Serve hot.
Recipe can also be multiplied. Put all ingredients in a slow cooker to simmer for several hours until the apples are cooked.
